Lazy Weekend

I'm sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. Last Monday I came down with a bad sore throat, cough, and congestion!! Not how I wanted to spend my week, but glad I'm on the mend since we will see Lily next week. Speaking of Lily, we received the sweetest announcement on Friday! I will have to post a pic soon!

Friday after work Kody and I headed to Springfield for the night. We went to Hu Hot for dinner and it was SO good! We will definitely go back. Saturday I had what they call diagnostic laparoscopy. It was an outpatient surgery and went really well, I just had to be there at 6:30. I was nervous I would feel sick after the anesthesia, but I did so well! I ate a meal afterwards on the way home. Kody was hoping I would be loopy, but he lucked out. Surgery was at 8:30 and I was out of there by noon. My doctor was really excited about the possible outcomes from this!

Kody has been a big trooper this weekend! He has waited on me hand and foot! I have a tiny incision in my belly button and 2 below my underwear line so it's not bad at all. Yesterday I slept some, Kody grilled pizzas, and Mom came out with goodies. We watched a movie last night too and I stayed awake! (Miracle!)

Today I'm a little more sore, especially my belly button. You don't realize how much you use stomach muscles on the smallest things...getting up and down and coughing which I still have a dumb cough!

This was somewhat unexpected but I had an appointment Monday and my doctor had been wanting to so this since December and I have put it off. He couldn't do Friday, but Saturday was even better for us. I should be fine to go to work tomorrow just will take it easy.

Today we did go to lunch and rode around, just so I could get out of the house. I've been lazy the rest of the day!

Surgery isn't necessarily how I wanted to spend my weekend, but it just worked out perfectly. We had no plans and next weekend we do and I should be fine by then!

This will be a fun and tiring week...we are going to see James Taylor on Tuesday night in Springfield with my brother, parents, and friends. It will be a late night, but James Taylor is a legend so he's worth it! Have a great week!
