When I was in college at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau I loved my campus in the spring. It was truly one big bloom and so pretty as you walked to class. Anyone who is familiar with SEMO’s campus knows that it’s on a BIG hill and you walk…a lot!
On sunny, warm spring days in college after class I would go home and either go for a walk with a friend or take Jax downtown and walk along the river. When Kody got off it would be typical for us to ride on the bike to Imo’s and eat pizza and salads outside while watching the traffic go by. That was a perfect day.
Yesterday I longed for that kind of perfect day. Mainly one where I wasn’t accountable for any work or anything but lazing around doing ‘my’ thing. It was 80 degrees and hard to concentrate on anything. Today’s weather is much of the same and I’m at lunch now enjoying it out on my deck! 
Last night after working a little late and Kody too I just didn’t want to go home. I wanted to go sit outside somewhere for dinner! Well, I met him at work and asked what his plans were for dinner (he is the cook! ;)) and he said he wasn’t sure….but I talked him into going out! We seldom go out to eat during the week, just too much to do at home, but I didn’t want to do anything last night! We went to Colton’s and had a great meal there. We sat and talked for a long time too….it was just so nice! Even though we weren’t outside for dinner it was the perfect meal!
I’m thankful for spontaneous nights with KT. I know some of that will change when we do have a baby so in the mean time I’m going to get my fill! ;)

Oh, how I adored that campus!! UMKC doesn't even compare. I used to love walking from Towers to my evening Speech class at Grauel. It was beautiful in the Spring! Thanks for the memories, Mal! :)

I don't know about you, but I think WP needs places with patios to eat dinner outside. I loved that in Columbia.
