Day in Springfield

It’s been a couple of weeks since my procedure in Springfield. Everything went very well and we moved on to the next step. It wasn’t bad and afterwards Kody and I got to enjoy a really fun day in Springfield shopping and eating!

We made a few stops before my appointment and then afterwards ate at DOE’S! I was so excited and had been wanting to go there, but didn’t want to go alone because I knew Kody would love it. (We love steak…especially exceptional steak.) I had never heard of Doe’s until I started reading Kelly’s Korner. If you read her blog faithfully you know that’s one of their favorites. I thought we had better try it and I am so glad we did!

 

Excuse the bright picture, we have my phone to thank for that. I was literally about sick by the time I got there because I was so hungry. Like stated in a previous post, this medicine is doing wacky things to me, but I’m thankful I was able to eat at Doe’s! They had these biscuits they called and brought out to us, but they were little deep fried doughnuts really without sugar! SO GOOD! Can’t wait to go back. If you live in Springfield and haven’t been to Doe’s yet, go today!!

We spent the rest of the day shopping for Kody new dress shoes and finally found 2 pairs! He is extremely picky when it comes to that kind of stuff. He wants to look good (and always does!). I did a little last minute shopping and then we headed back home. We didn’t make it home until close to 8:30, but it was a really fun day with my husband. He never goes to Springfield with me, let alone shopping, but we had a blast. I’m pretty lucky to have him around! ;)
