What’s Happening?

Well, my last post was right after Halloween and here we are embarking on the middle of November. Where does TIME go? I will play a little catch up on what’s been going on in our world because I will have our HERMANN trip to catch y’all up on Sunday.

Last Wednesday I kept the little Skeeters, as I like to call them. Drew and Luke have stolen my heart, they are the only reason I would be OK with having twins. :) They are pure sweetness and help my baby fever when I’m around then. We ate, took a bath, and played…here are some pictures. It’s extremely difficult to get a decent picture of two 19 month old boys! By the way, they look HUGE in the chair pictures…they seem so little and then boom, they’re toddlers. :( I love how they will RUN up to me and want me to hold them when they see me….(Kody too.) We love them!

Are they cute or what??

Friday we had a chili fundraiser at work and so that pretty much shot my work day. :) I was busy with that most of the day. Friday evening Kody and I met my parents and my brother who surprised us and was in town at El Charro’s. We had a hilarious dinner and laughed at all the things Alex came up with to say. He is a goon. We’re really shiny in this cell pic and my eyes look hollow, but it will do!

After dinner Kody headed to Salem, MO to support his brother in the Ozark Trail 100 mile run. Yes, 100 mile run. Crazy? Perhaps. Kyle has trained for months now on this and had a partner. Kody saw him off running first thing Saturday morning around 6…in the dark. They ran through the Mark Twain National Forest. AHHHH!!! No thanks, trails, rocks, water, lions, tigers, and bears…oh my! They were to run through the night, stopping about every 3 hours to change socks, eat something, drink, and run on. He did really well and made it 65 miles, hobbling the last 15. He hurt his left ankle pretty bad, it was weak before so this obviously didn’t help. His partner did finish though on Sunday around noon. YES….30 hours later! I would have DIED. We’re proud of Kyle and his accomplishment, 65 miles is HUGE!!

Kody was home early Saturday morning and I was off to Courtney’s Uppercase Living party. Have y’all seen that stuff? It’s SO neat! After the party Kody and I went to an auction, had some lunch, and took a good long nap. We met up with some friends to head to Gainesville to the Antler. Hilarious…we actually rode to the Antler in a 15 passenger van. There were 12 of us and we had that thing rocking! I laughed most of Saturday night!

After church Sunday we all met for lunch and the kids ran wild. :) Isn’t that why you have kids? :) Mom and I went to another auction Sunday afternoon and then I took another long nap. I love my naps! The time change and this getting dark has thrown me for a loop, but like always I will adjust.

Yesterday I met with my new wellness coach and got my new workout plan. Ouch. I can barely walk today, seriously. It’s bad. I guess this means it will work.

Today I had lunch with my friend Myranda and her sweet son Quentin. He has the prettiest blue eyes you will ever see! I ended today with a haircut (much needed) and the anticipation for our trip!

Tomorrow we will zipline and check into this bad boy…

Those little boys are so precious! So random but I was telling Rob the other day how it would make my life complete if I could have twins and he looked at me like I was crazy. I'll have to show him how cute those boys are!! :)

I'm so glad you are getting a little vacation! I remember your recap from last year and it just seemed like the perfect way to relax and spend some quality time together! Have so much fun!! :)
