Weekend Recap

This was the perfect fall weekend. I’m not ready for it to be over!! Friday night Kody and I went to dinner with my parents and afterwards went to see Brian & Courtney’s new house. They had been painting and Kody decided to jump in and help. That left Courtney and I with about 3 hours worth of some good talkin’. I’m always a fan of a good gab session with a friend without interruptions! Her kids were at grandma & grandpa’s, so we were good!

Saturday started early when I am not sure I even slept Friday night. I hate nights like that, but I was fine Saturday. I got up at 6:30 to make a little something for my friend Jennifer. She’s so sweet and I just love her. She really helped me out this weekend. I’m so thankful for our friendship and her kids. They are adorable, I love them!

I threw a wedding shower for my friend Casey Saturday morning. We had about 15 people here and had a good time. She got a lot of nice things, it was bed & bath themed. I set up the table and was pleased wit how it looked all decked out in fall!

After the shower was over Kody and I went out for a drive. It was the perfect day to be outside. We went to a few antique stores and then ended up at my Nandad’s farm. We went through the basement of the barn looking for picture props. My Nandad stopped by and asked Kody to go look at a tractor that’s for sale and he’s interested in. It just made my heart happy to see the two of them standing around talking about this tractor. Nandad loves Kody. He always asks about him and thinks he’s pretty good stuff. And he is.

After the farm we headed home for a little rest before we headed to Gainesville for dinner with a big group. The Orrs, Skeeters, Atkins, and us went to the Antler. Girls in 1 car, boys in the other. Oh the laughs!!! The pizza was incredible as always and we just had a great night. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. I don’t have any pictures from the night, but rest assured we had a great time.

Today was another perfect day. We had a great sermon and Sunday School week 2 was another hit. We had more people! We’re busting out of our tiny room. We talked about Peter healing the crippled man at the Beautiful Gate and reflected back on how we hide our faith from others, ways to grow our faith while spreading the Gospel, and about our dealings with people who don’t know Christ. It was great. Then 11 of us adults and this week only 6 kids went to lunch. We have a new couple in our class from Springfield and they went along too. They are both so nice and have the cutest little boy! We really enjoyed lunch and getting to know them better.

Jax and I napped part of the afternoon…..while KT did homework.

After our naps I went to the pumpkin patch with Mike, Myranda, Quentin (the new family), and Courtney, Hunter, Hannah, and Courtney’s mom. I hadn’t been to the pumpkin patch is probably 12 years! If not longer. It has changed but we had a good time. I took a few shots, but the sun wasn’t my friend….

He has the prettiest blue eyes! Now you see why I don’t want my weekend to end! I hope y’all have a great week!
