Kody has a NEW job!!!!
This is the exciting part....he isn't working at a new truck place (he's a diesel mechanic) he will be working here...
Sorry this isn't the best picture, but he will be working at West Plains Bank & Trust! YES, I'm talking TOTAL life change here, but I literally am bursting with joy for him!
He's going back to school this fall and will begin there and work his way up the education field. As he says, he was not quite ready for college at 18 so he did what he enjoyed then and went to a trade school. He's been a diesel mechanic (and is a very good one!) for the past 6 years. Banking isn't totally foreign to him, as his Dad has been in banking for several years and his brother is now in banking as well. We talked a long time and extensively about making sure this was the right fit for him and not just because they both were in banking and enjoyed it. I'm so proud of him for making this change. Proud of myself too for following our faith! It's never easy for me to lean back and let someone else be in control!
He'll begin working at the bank after our vacation and will be a lending trainee. He'll train in different parts of the bank for a good while and then go from there. We have prayed and prayed and I looked at jobs online and in the newspaper DAILY. What an awesome, answered prayer! He will have great benefits, the bank holidays like I have, and will accumulate a great amount of vacation. But the bestttttt part...he won't be working SATURDAYS! He has always worked Saturdays, so this will be phenomenal to get to spend more time together. This will be the perfect spot for him to be in and have a family! No, that isn't happening now, but another thing we're praying for!
I'm probably most excited about spending Saturdays together. We can sleep-in or get up early and go have breakfast/coffee, we can go on weekend trips, and just spend time together!!
We feel extremely blessed and are so excited for this new venture in our lives. God is good, all the time, but he works wonders sometimes! :)

Yay for Kody! I'm sure his parents are proud :) From personal experience, it's going to be so great going from working on Saturdays to having M-F hours, and getting to spend Saturday mornings together. Have fun on your vacation!

Yay!! Congrats!! Rob has a master's and has a job that is not related to it at ALL, but he loves his job. He actually worked at a bank before his current job and that's what caused him to decide to go for his current job, even though it wasn't what he had originally planned. It's worked out perfectly, and he's very happy, and I hope Kody is just as happy with his change! Enjoy your Saturdays with him!! :)

OMG! I am totally gobsmacked!! Didn't even see this coming. This will be a total new life style change for you guys. Yes he definitely has the genes beginning a few generations ago. All our best to you both. ( no more dirty fingernails. Now he will be going for mani's with you). Hugs to you both.
