I know I’m behind on vacation posts, but last week I was already a week behind in work and then add preparation for the council meetings, Kody’s last week of work, and ironing his whole new wardrobe…I didn’t have much spare time on my hands! :)
Sunday, June 5th started early for me. I was on the beach by 8:30 reading, people watching, and enjoying the breeze down close to the water. Everyone else came out around 10, but I like to be on the beach early and read. I was reading a new Kennedy book my MIL got me, The Kennedy Detail, it’s written by the Secret Service agents that worked with Kennedy. Very interesting!!
I stayed on the beach until lunch time and went up to the condo to have lunch. I was kind of burnt by the end of the day, so I decided to spend the afternoon on our HUGE balcony/patio and nap. It was wonderful!! The guys went to Florabama for afternoon drinks and snacks. Everyone else napped!
Sunday night Kyle & Erica made shrimp and chicken kabobs, rice, and a salad. It was a great meal and we all had fun just sitting around visiting. We spent part of the evening outside on the balcony. It came up a pretty good little wind storm and the guys rushed down to take down our tent and help others with theirs. These pictures are day 1 when we just arrived, and day 1—first full day on the beach!
