Rewind back to Friday, March 4th. I had a retreat for an EXCEL class, which is a leadership class at Dawt Mill. Dawt Mill is on our river about 30 minutes away. Luckily, my friend Courtney was going along too so I had someone I knew. There were about 15 of us staying in cabins for the evening going over the Hermann Brain Test. It was a really neat test that we took beforehand and it was scored and then presented to us to let us know what type of person we are by how our brain functions.

That evening Kody and I went to dinner with my parents and then went home. I had to pack for my 4 night stay at Lake of the Ozarks. After church on Sunday I left and headed to the lake! The Missouri City Clerks and Finance Officers Association has their Spring Institute each March and it's 4 days worth of exciting sessions. A few were really exciting and then others not so much...
I was able to shop a little, did my first super-coupon run at Target and fell in love with Hy-Vee grocery store. AHHHmazing! I could live there! I hear Dierbergs is just as nice! I maintained my healthy lifestyle while I was there. I have lost 12 lbs! That really excites me and pushes me to keep at it. It is not hard at all. It would be nice to lose a little weight before I do get pregnant some day! :) :)
Wednesday night we attended a banquet for the city clerks. I had never stayed all week so it was my first banquet. We had a great time. Here is my group of clerks from my division in south central Missouri. I really enjoy my time with these ladies, a few are veteran city clerks and I learn a lot from them.

I missed Kody and the boys so much while I was gone and was so excited to see them Thursday afternoon! He did a good job keeping the house pretty clean too! :) Friday we went to El Charro's for a date and then went to bed early. My traveling has definitely caught up with me, between that and allergies I'm at a stand-still today.
Saturday I slept in and then went shopping with Mom and waited on Alex to get home. We had a yummy lunch at a newer place in town, Hero's Coffee. Excellent lunch-time food! Saturday night we went over to the Skeeters for awhile and grilled burgers and had a fire pit night. It would have been great if the smoke didn't send me into an allergy downhill spiral!!!! The Orrs were there and Ella Claire and Paige were Kody's best buds. They LOVED him, every kid does! This is taken with the flash over the fire and it's got a weird look to it!
Watching those little girls play cracked us up! They were so cute together. Ella is a year 1/2 younger than Paige and did EVERYTHING Paige did. Said everything, did everything, just the way Paige did. It was too cute. Ella will have a baby sister soon, coming in June! Paige has twin brothers, Luke & Drew--they just turned a year old. Sunday after church and lunch I napped all day and then took Mucinex in the evening and literally stayed awake all night long! It was horrible!! I actually was not very tired yesterday, but last night after a meeting at church and then the Bachelor watch party it was almost 11:30 when I finally laid down...today I am a walking zombie!
The best part of the last week was Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, I will make a whole separate post for that! Incredible! Sign up TODAY!
Tonight I have another leadership class (every Tuesday night until May :( :() and also dinner for Alex's birthday. I want to go to bed EARLY tonight!
