TGIF!

Hello everyone! It's finally Friday and unlike several people, I have not had a snow day this week so I am welcoming the weekend with open arms! We truly lucked out here, we were supposed to get ice and up to an inch of it (not fun, have been through 2 ice storms in the past 3 years and NO fun losing power!!). It poured rain Tuesday most of the day and temperatures were right around freezing. It snowed a tiny bit Tuesday night, but we were in the clear! The trees were frozen, but none on the ground or power lines, thank you Lord! It was freezing here the last 2 days, but I will take that any day over ice.

They are calling for a little more snow today and I don't want to see any. I hope they are wrong again! I'm through with winter and ready for spring and summer. Like the rest of the US. Kody's brother, wife, and Drew are supposed to come tonight for the weekend. Kyle and Kody were going to work on some projects and I'm going to be really sad if they can't make it. Hopefully they can! We really want to see these guys....

I have to go up to Springfield today for a doctor appointment and don't want to get caught in anything either, say a prayer for my appointment and the weather! We don't have big weekend plans, just hanging out. We do have Super Bowl plans with some of our Sunday School class. We aren't big sports people at the Thompson house. In fact, we've joked that if we could trade Dish Network all of our ESPN channels for channels we like, we'd do it. It would upset my father-in-law and Dad though when they come over and there's a Mizzou game on....I'm going to cheer for the Packers though, just because it was my brother's team back in the day. :) He even has a fancy cheese head at home, I should take it to the party....here's my mom & dad's Golden Retriever, Dudley, cheering on the Packers a couple of weeks ago. Kody helped me clean house the last 2 nights. He has this problem when he gets into something, it has to be done to the best of his ability. So he is a mean house cleaner, although he probably hated me noticing. I prepared a weekly cleaning schedule where some things get done each night. I put it on the fridge so we remember our chores every night. How silly is that? Problem is, if it's in writing I usually will do it. Now that I've blogged about it I have my accountability here. I am sick of cleaning all on Saturday or Sunday on my days off. This is when I wish I was a SAHM....I just don't have kids yet, so I guess I could be a SAHM to the dogs and have a clean house!
