Kaci and Luke met us there and when the boys got out of the cars Luke and Kody both had on the same black zip-up pullover. It was obviously a Christmas gift and so funny they wore it together. Well, Jimmy & Wayne had the same Mizzou black zip-up pullover and John was almost matching! Definitely picture worthy, but I didn't have my big camera in with me and my phone was about to die and wouldn't take pictures. :( We got a good laugh though.
After dinner we headed to Kyle & Erica's. Drew was still up and their friends, Lindsey & Adrian were there with their little girl, Ashlyn. They are all best friends. Lindsey is Jimmy & Sally's daughter and is Kyle's age and they've always been friends....Erica and Adrian came in to play at Mizzou. They live 2 houses down, their kids are 2 months apart, and their both due to have babies like 2 weeks apart. LOL....they like doing the same thing obviously! Anyways, Erica's BFF Laura and her family were in town. We hadn't seen Laura & Michael since our couples shower in Jackson in 2009. We love them and it was so good to see them. We visited, laughed, and hung out until about 1 am! Sunday we met them for lunch before they headed back to STL.
Kaci and Luke had to leave Sunday morning, but we'll see them again in March. :) We went to lunch with everyone at My Daddy's Cheesecake (Heaven...or hell when you are watching carbs/sugars!!) Drew was hilarious and followed around Blake (Laura and Michael's almost 4 y/o, they have a beautiful little girl, Karli who is almost 2!) I said Drew needs a big brother not a little brother! ;) He followed everything Blake did, including sitting sit and eating all of his food!!
I shopped around Cape with Teresa Sunday afternoon. I love shopping in Cape. People who live in big cities think it's not much to write home about, but when all you have is a Wal-Mart and a few other places, Target and a decent mall makes this girl happy!!! We shopped again with Erica, Drew, Kody and John Monday!
Sunday night Teresa made dinner. It was so good and Drew made us all laugh. I will do another post with just pictures. He has quite a personality and I can't wait to see what he's like as a big brother. I really don't think he will mind it much. He is an entertainer and I think will enjoy entertaining baby brother....who is yet named!!! The little guy is due in about a month!!
After dinner Kody and I headed to Cape to drive around. We drove around both of my old houses (Dunklin and Green Acres--yes I lived on Green Acres!), his friend's old house down Abbey Road, downtown Cape, just all over. It was nice--just the two of us reliving some memorable times. I loved when we lived there, it always felt like a vacation. I don't know why, it just did. Don't get me wrong, I love where we are now....just a vacation is always fun, right?! I didn't have to work full-time either!!! HA!
Monday we visited Grandad in the nursing home. He is in the late stages of Alzheimer's, but seems to be holding his own. Drew went with us and frequents the place quite often with my MIL and Grandma. He knew all the people and it was so cute. He gave Grandad toys, combed his hair, gave him a drink, and he was so gentle. He also knows the manager of the home (a family friend), saw him way down the hall and yelled KENNY....KENNY....well Kenny came down, Drew lead him to his office and got candy out of 'his--as in Drew's' basket! It was hilarious!
After lunch at the new Delmonico's, we headed to WP. It was a yucky, rainy day, but we got home at a decent time around 5. ...............just in time for the Bachelor! ;)
It was a great trip and we cherish our time with our family. The next time we're there it will be for a wedding shower and I'm going to HOPE a baby!!
Stay tuned for pictures!

Sounds like a fun, busy weekend!! My Daddy's would definitely be difficult on a diet! It was definitely my weakness when I worked right down the street and they would always bring in breakfast. Just want you to know you are still in my prayers ;)
