Happy Valentine's Day to all my faithful readers! I love you all! This year marks the 8th Valentine's Day Kody and I have celebrated together. Eight? I seriously feel like we've known each other forever, but 8 seems like a long time!
We went to dinner Saturday night to a pizza place down in Gainesville, MO. It was nothing fancy, but the pizza was delicious! It was almost as good as Pagliai's in Cape! Definitely the best pizza between here and there! We both have really bad head colds and aren't much fun right now, but we enjoyed dinner out. I got sick on the way there...the road was super curvy. Not fun, especially whe you're head is so stopped up you can barely see straight.
Yesterday we went to church. We had a guest, Sherrie Johnson, she gave her testimony and shared her love for Jesus through music. She was really good. Our Sunday School class is in charge of breakfast for February, so we helped out with that, and then decided to head home we just were not feeling well at all. We ran by Aldi's and picked up a ton of fruits and vegetables and then headed home. I cut everything up and laid on the couch for the rest of the day. Kody was on the couch downstairs. I would feel fine if I could breathe and if my ears weren't clogged up! UGH!!
Tonight we were going to have a nice dinner, Kody was going to make it all. Neither one of us can taste anything and we aren't really hungry, so we decided to save that for another night. It may be a soup night, or nothing! Hopefully we're feeling better by tomorrow, I'd like to enjoy the sunny, warm weather this week. He's off today and at home resting, hopefully that will help him. I am suffering through work.
I am such a lucky person to be married to my best friend. Many people claim they are, but we are two peas in a pod. We are always taking turns making each other laugh, finishing each other's thoughts, and are completely fine with doing nothing as long as we're together. We don't need a special day to make each other feel special! I was lucky enough to get flowers this morning from my father-in-law, John. They are tulips...my favorite! I think they are laying down because they're supposed to look like that or they're too heavy...not sure?!
We aren't doing V-day gifts...we're ordering basement furniture! That's better to me! Happy Valentine's day to the best life has to offer. I love you!
