Planning Ahead...

I decided 2 weeks ago that I would plan menus for 2 weeks and grocery shop for everything I would need for those two weeks and only have to go to the store for minimal stuff like dog food. The first 2 weeks are over and ta-da, it was successful! I've put recipes on here on and off and had another to share with my faithful readers. (By the way, if you read this and post recipes on your blog that you know aren't too difficult, let me know.)

I was tired of fixing the same old thing every other night, so I told Kody we would have new things for 2-3 months. I have gotten recipes off the internet, word-of-mouth, old cookbooks, new cookbooks, and I am loving it. It's a new hobby for me.

This recipe came from http://www.campbells.com/ and was wonderful!

Beef Taco Bake)
1 lb. ground beef

1 can Condensed Tomato Soup

1 cup chunky salsa or picante sauce

1/2 cup milk

6 flour tortillas (8-inch) OR 8 corn tortillas (6-inch), cut into 1-inch pieces

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces) (I always use the Fiesta Blend--Great Value brand)

1.Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often. Pour off any fat.

2.Stir the soup, salsa, milk, tortillas and half the cheese in the skillet. Spoon the beef mixture into a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Cover the baking dish.

3.Bake at 400°F. for 30 minutes or until the beef mixture is hot and bubbling. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
May look gross, but um, hello heaven. I loved it and Kody devoured it. My mom was out of town for a meeting and we took my Dad some, he raved about it as well. It would be great paired with guacamole dip and tortilla chips...and maybe a margarita! More about our weekend tomorrow!

Show Us Your Life--Collections

It's Friday! And Kelly's Show Us Your Life Collections day! I am beginning to think I collect dog hair from our boys shedding and dirty paw prints on my hardwood floor, but I really do collect something that means a lot to me. As many of you probably know, I am a huge Kennedy fan. I love the family, learning about them, their style, independence, etc. I collect Kennedy memorabilia and books on the family, especially President Kennedy's immediate family. Many of the books I have read, some of them sit on the shelf waiting for a rainy day, others are mainly picture books that I love to look at over and over again. I have lots and lots, probably around 60 books.

Some of my favorites are...

What Remains by Carole Radziwill Carole was the wife to Anthony Radziwill, who was John K. Kennedy Jr.'s first cousin. Anthony & John were best friends and when he married Carole and John married Carolyn the four were always together. Anthony is diagnosed with cancer in this book and it replays Carole and Anthony meeting, dating, getting married, and his fight for cancer. They were also expecting John & Carolyn the night their plane crashed, and the book replays that through Carole's memories.

Remembering Jack by Jacques Lowe This is a great coffee table picture book. My parents gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago and I love, love this book.

When John & Caroline Lived in the White House by Laurie Coulter

This is such a sweet little book about John & Caroline's time spent at the White House. They were such cute kids!

President Kennedy Has Been Shot

Amazing book about the last few minutes before President Kennedy's assassination. It gives you minute by minute updates and there's even CD that gives broadcasts from that day and rare footage from the minutes after.

Sweet Caroline by Christopher Anderson Great book about the Last Child of Camelot. Caroline is intriguing to me because she's very secretive, much like her mother. Great story!

The Day John Died by Christopher Anderson My first Kennedy book. I read this and was immediately hooked by the Kennedy family. Their whole lives perplex me. How can one family have so much bad luck? The story is mainly on John's life and his fateful plane crash.

Kennedy Weddings by Jay Mulvaney I always have a few Kennedy books laying out on display. Usually my favorites...of course this one had to be out all fall in honor of our wedding. Lots of Kennedys means lots of weddings!

My current, all-time favorite, favorite, oh my gosh I love it Kennedy book is....

Forever Young: My Friendship with John F. Kennedy Jr. By William "Billy" Noonan I took this book to Jamaica with me. We didn't have a tv in the room and so Kody wanted me to read to him. Well, the first few pages of this book choked me up! I couldn't put this down, it was exceptional. Billy Noonan and JFK Jr. were best friends growing up. John was also flying to see Billy & his wife for their 10th anniversary when their plane crashed. They would have met up with Anthony & Carole too. You can really feel the close friendship these two had in this book. I can't wait to buy it, just checked it out!

So there you have it. I collect Kennedy books and these are just a few of my favorites. The best spot to buy these are at Barnes & Noble in the Bargain section. Most of them are all under $10. No, these aren't worth anything, but are priceless to me! Of course I also love my Kennedy pictures that were in a previous post!

New Recipe

Well, it's not actually new, but I thought I would share with you all. Chicken stir-fry and fried rice. I just buy Tyson's chicken breast strips (boneless) and then a package of 3 peppers--orange, red, and yellow usually. Cut up the chicken in chunks (or you could just cook it in strips) and brown the chicken in a deep pan with olive oil. I added some pepper & garlic powder while it was cooking.

While that is cooking (and you are flipping occasionally), cut up the peppers in smaller pieces. I also cut up some onion.
After the chicken is good & done, throw in the veggies. Cook for awhile until it's all blackened. I kept adding a little olive oil as I went and then dabbed soy sauce & W. Sauce (can't say it nor spell it). It's a pretty dish when you first start out...

You know it's done when it looks like this...
We had brown rice and it was the boil in a bag in the microwave. I was just going to do that, but Kody decide to make fried rice. YUM! He made it in the microwave, lightly scrambled and egg in olive oil, put in the rice, and chopped up a green onion. I put some garlic bread in and this is the finished product! Sorry I can't get the picture to flip. Kody is getting into the recipes and blogging. (LOL!) He took most of these pictures and staged the plate picture perfectly. He may be blogging before long! Ok, I doubt that.... Try it out, hope you like it!

Goodies...

I blogged earlier on my trip to Springfield. I told my mother-in-law Teresa I would put some pictures up of what I got....here goes!

Here's our big wedding portrait and the new frame I got. I know it's a black frame & black matte, but it looked best. It didn't take away from the actual picture, but made the picture pop. It will hang in our bedroom. It's laying on our bedspread and those are some crazy, obnoxious looking paint samples. Remember--I said I'm painting the room a soft, goldish yellow...yeah those don't appear to be soft.
Here's one of the 8x10s I will hang in our stairwell. I loved the frame I found for it. Brought out so many colors...here are my 2 keys also. They are so neat!!And here are the 2 pictures I got for the side of our bed....
(couldn't get the stupid thing to flip the right way) Here are some of the paint colors I'm actually considering up close....
Comments are appreciated!! Teresa---let me know what you think!

Trip to Springfield

Yesterday I took off and Mom and I went to Springfield for doctor appointments. It was a great day to be out and about...a little chilly, but the sun was out and it felt so good. We drove my car which is a first--I normally hate to drive, but I wanted to take the Yukon!

We started out at Target and I bought a shoe rack organizer for our closet, been wanting one for a year now and just broke down and bought it. I also got a pack of 20 Sharpies for....$2.94! What a steal! They were 75% off. I love Sharpies too. :) After that I dropped Mom off at her appointment and ventured off by myself. I went to Gordman's and found nothing, and then hit up Marshall's. Cha-ching! I found 2 great pictures for the sides of our bed in our bedroom. They are really pretty, I'll put up some pictures tonight. While shopping at Target Mom and I decided our bedroom would look really pretty a yellow color. Our bedding is black & cream and I wanted red accents. I'm excited to pick out a color and hopefully she can paint over her spring break in 2 weeks! The pictures have cream & red flowers in them and some gold/yellowish touches. I also got some really cute Kenneth Cole Reaction flats. They are silver with black outlining and black and silver stones on the toes! Clearance too! By that time Mom was done so I picked her up and we went to the new Kirkland's. WOW. Kirkland's used to be in Battlefield Mall, but now it's moved over in the Primrose Center next to Bed, Bath, & Beyond. It's great and everything is displayed so nicely. Very easy to see it all, unlike their store in the mall. I found a little plate to put in our living room that matches these vases...We had lunch at Qdoba--one of our favorite fast food restaurants. Everything is so fresh, it's like Subway for Mexican lovers! I had a chicken taco salad and it was excellent! After lunch we went to Hobby Lobby. I was looking for frames for wedding pictures. All of the 8x10 frames I loved didn't have hangers on the back...what the heck? So I finally found one that did and decided to buy it for one of my pictures. This picture actually...the frame has lots of blacks & browns in it.I love homes with a good hallway. My house doesn't have a hallways because it's so open upstairs. We do have a good stairwell, so we're decking out the stairwell with pictures. We also have these cool gold letters going down the stairs, K T M--our monogram. The K & M hung on the red church doors for our wedding. You can't really see in this picture, but look closely and there is a small M behind Me and a K behind Kody. Here they are up close...found the idea in one of The Knot magazines and had to steal it! ;)

So anyways, back to my story. We've got the letters going down the stairs and I plan to frame random shots from whatever--wedding, honeymoon, old, new, random, etc. pictures in simple black frames all around the letters. In other words, clutter it up. On the opposite wall I had decided to do rod iron crosses. Well, yesterday at Hobby Lobby I found these cool rod iron keys. They are huge and black. They were clearanced out for $6!! Can we say steal? I bought 2 of them but didn't find any crosses I really loved. I've seen the crosses on other bloggers walls and I love it. We are hoping to paint the basement sometime this spring so I will gather them until we paint. The key are similar to this, but larger and black. We then went to more appointments and headed to the Mall. We really just shopped at Macy's, I got a top and some makeup. After Macy's we went to Michael's and I found a frame for our 11x14 wedding picture and some frames for my grandma's pictures. She has one of Kody and I and then one by myself and it was pretty hard to find 2 frames alike that weren't scratched and had hangers on the back! Mission Accomplished! I just have random 5x7's and 1 8x10 to frame now. Most of those will go in the stairwell or our bedroom. I'm running out of wall space. What do we do when we have a baby?!

We headed back to West Plains and got home around 6:15. Long, tiring day, but a fun day shopping with Mom. I had put a roast in the crock pot, so dinner was made when I got home. I'm loving the menu and preparing food in advance thing! Tonight is chicken stir fry. I'll put up the recipe because it's good and easy!

Have a great day, I'm just playing catch up!

Start of a New Week!

I can't say that I'm super excited it's Monday, but I will take what I get. Yesterday was a lazy, lazy day at our house. We went to church and Sunday School, grabbed a bite to eat and headed home. I took a nap off and on all day and finished a movie I had been watching. Kody played countless hours of Mario on Wii.

I have to brag on Kody, he's come a long way. A year ago he was questioning faith in some aspects of life and a year later we are attending church regularly and have started attending Sunday School. I have prayed about this situation for a year now. God really does work wonders, just on his terms. We definitely took baby steps to get there. I can remember last year around this time, asking him to go to church made him felt like I was making him go. So I just left it alone. I've learned if I really want something, DO NOT harp/nag him, in time he will come around. That's probably how a lot of men are. He's participating too. He brings up what we've talked about later on and we can discuss it. Right now the Sunday School class we attend is watching a DVD series on Marriages and Laughing Your Way to a Better Marriage with Mark Gungor.

He is hilarious and really makes you stop and think about your partner and what they need to thrive in marriage as well. He has a great website with some good resources on there. http://www.laughyourway.com/ I think it's so very important to be best friends with your partner and Kody and I are that. We put each other #1 and it seems to work out wonderfully.

Starting the middle of March our church is having Effective Parenting in a Defective World. Although it would probably be beneficial for Kody and I to sit through, I don't think we will. It's 9 weeks and I would feel odd going and saying oh, we don't have children...just dogs...So those who aren't going to that in our SS Class will either start the marriage DVDs over or go over some Dave Ramsey stuff from Financial Peace University. I'm game for either! Other than church, our weekend was extremely low-key.

Friday night we went to El Charro's with the Judds. I got to sit by this little guy and laughed most of the dinner. Can you tell he's a lot of fun? His big sister, Hannah, was at grandma's for the weekend. We went back to their house and let Hunter entertain us for the rest of the night. When we got in the car to go home Kody said, 11:40? Gosh!! Saturday I worked at At Home and Kody had his regular work schedule. We were planning to go to Viola to watch a basketball game with the Hambys, but Kody was dead beat tired. I finally got him to go eat at TJ's which is super close to home and then we went back home. He crashed on the couch while I played 1 level of Mario over and over.

That's all for our weekend! Have a great week!!

Getting to know you Sunday!

I copied this from Melissa over at Love, Marriage, and (Someday) a Baby Carriage what a cute, catchy blog name! I thought I would join in for these few questions because I am lacking blog material right now!

1. How often do you wash/change your sheets?
Once a week. Most Saturdays, but sometimes it's Sunday. I would wash them daily IF I didn't have to put them on. I love the feeling of clean sheets, but hate with a passion putting them on the bed. Most of the time I can con Kody into helping or doing it all. He makes a mean bed.

2. When is your birthday?
August 8, 1986

3. Have you ever met a bloggy friend in real life?
I have a few real life friends that are my blog friends, but none of the other girls. I would LOVE to meet some of them. It does seem like it could happen because several of my blogs I read live in Arkansas...I live on the MO/AR border!

4. Brad Pitt or George Clooney?
George Clooney. He's like a little black dress, never goes out of style.

5. If you could change one thing about your body what would it be?
My height...wish I were taller.

6. How often do you wash your hair?
Every night. Wish I didn't have to!

7. Do you have pets?
Oh heavens yes...2 German Shepherds, Jax (3) and Bo (2)....right now they keep us on our toes.

8. How many social networks do you belong to..if you had to give up one, what would it be?
3...Facebook, Blogger, and Myspace. I would get ride of Myspace in a heart beat. In fact I haven't been on in f-o-r-e-v-e-r!

Hello Friday, Won't you be my friend?

Ohhh! It's the sweet 6 letter word that makes my heart melt! FRIDAY! I cannot complain too much about this week though, it's been short with being off on Monday and it has gone by fast! I wasn't very busy, but got a lot accomplished.

Today I have mainly been trying to get my desk back to the wooden color it used to be...not flooded with a white mess of papers. I'm bad, I'm a stacker. I stack things in piles all over. I normally remember where it is, so I guess that is my filing system. It makes me look busy too! ;) But I'm tired of it being that way. I can also be a bad procrastinator, so by getting things off my desk, I'm getting things DONE...and I can throw it away! I need to get some pictures up of my office....I need more things on the walls, but on my big bulletin board on my desk it's flooded with things that make me happy...Me, Kody, Jax, Bo, family, and DREW! Speaking of Drew, I miss the little fella, he's so cute. Tonight I will get my baby fix...we're going to dinner with our friends, Brian & Courtney. They have 2 kids--Hannah (4) and Hunter (18 months) Hunter & Drew are a month apart. Hunter is a chunk though, too cute!!! Courtney said he's wild...so is Drew, we'll see who's the wildest! ;) I love a good wild baby when they aren't mine!! If we have to pay for much of Kody's raisin' we're in TROUBLE!! I should pray for all girls now.

We're going to good ole El Charro's! I'm ready for some chips!! They can't stay out late since they will have Hunter so we'll probably just go home and watch a movie. Kody has to work way early anyways. Tomorrow night we are grilling something...steaks, burgers, hot dogs...whatever we feel like.

The weather has been so nice today. It is getting cloudy right now but we've had sun and temperatures in the 50's most of the day. The sunroof was really nice at lunch. I'm craving flip flops

and pretty green grass though. Some ice cream from Maid Rite or Suds Inn is sounding pretty inviting as well.... Until I can get any of that I am lucky enough to have these... God Bless the Girl Scouts! Originally I said no to ordering them because I knew exactly what I would do and I'm doing it now...be right back, gotta take another bite. Kody will be lucky if I share......

You all have a great weekend, I will update more later...after the cookies! ;)

Hello Sunshine!

Today was another beautiful day in the Ozarks! I'm always a little bit more happy with that gorgeous sun shining out! It was 50 degrees at lunch! ....hey, just that much closer to 70! This morning flew by and I kept pretty busy working on some things for a special council meeting that will occur Monday afternoon over some bond issues. I decided I would call my Sweet MaMa to see if she wanted to go have lunch. She hadn't seen our new car yet since it was so cold when we brought it home earlier in the week. Of course, she was game. Kody says I could get away with murder with MaMa...so what, who cares? I'm spoiled and I like it!! We went to Colton's after I went to work out . I had a yummy grilled chicken salad. It was good! I snuck some of her fries though! ;)

This afternoon went by pretty quick. The Mayor & City Admin (my bosses) came back from Jeff City and so we talked a lot of the afternoon about what they heard at their meetings. Soon enough work was over and I was headed home. I stopped by my parent's house to see their new roof. Looks good! Kody and I got home at the same time and I began cookie. I am going to share a new recipe tonight, it was great!

Orange Rosemary Chicken I found this recipe on http://www.allrecipes.com/. Click the name link and it will take you to the recipe. Easy & good for you too. I marinated it over night instead of 4 hours. I think that helped. It was a new change. Finished product! We had rosemary garlic potatoes as well--our own recipe. They are super easy to make and you can change it around to fit your taste buds.

Rosemary Garlic Potatoes
3-4 potatoes, cubed (This is enough for both of us and leftovers)

olive oil

rosemary

minced garlic

onion (tonight I used green onions)

I cube the potatoes and put in a bread loaf glass dish. I sprinkle with rosemary, minced garlic, and cut up slices of onions. I pour a small amount of olive oil over and toss it. I bake at 350 until they are nice and soft. I use whatever I feel like for the rosemary & garlic. No specific amount.

I also had french bread and a spinach salad. It was just spinach leaves and then 1 cup Italian dressing, 1 teaspoon basil, 1 teaspoon oregano, a little minced garlic, and 1 Tablespoon sugar. Mix together & pour...Kody defined it as simply amazing. (Sidenote, he's easy to please! ;))

After dinner we played Mario together and now I'm watching a Kennedy movie with Martin Sheen. So far so good. Wish I knew where this freakishly obsession with the Kennedys came from. Happy Thursday night ya'll....TGIF!

Hump Day!

I'm so glad this has been a short, easy week so far. Tomorrow is Thursday and I couldn't be happier! After my long post yesterday I can't imagine I would have more to talk about...but I will give it a shot!

Today has been super nice outside. It was 45 at lunch and sunny with no clouds in the sky! I tried out the sunroof at lunch just because I was happy to see sun! After I worked out I was craving Subway so I grabbed a turkey/bacon sandwich on my way back to work. I had to attend an Electric Board meeting and take minutes and then my friends at work--Melanie, Dustin, and Brian got to see the car! Too bad we couldn't skip out on work and go for a ride--enjoy the sunny day.

Tonight Kody is grilling burgers. My gpa left his grill at our house back in January after he did ribs for us. We haven't gotten to take it back yet because of all the stinkin' snow & mud! We'll use it tonight...we love the charcoal grill we have, but need something faster...idea for Kody for his b-day! Tomorrow we're having Orange Rosemary Chicken. I will post pictures & the recipe. :)

Kody mentioned last night we should get some of our married friend together once a month or once every other month to have Around the World Nights. We could have different nights--Chinese, Mexican, American, English, etc. food and everyone would bring a certain dish. I think that sounded fun! We may start that up after it gets warm and we have more room to spread out. Different couples could host each time too. Ashley--what do you think? We enjoy spending time with married couples, it's a lot of fun. Kody's parents and their friends did Friday Night Bunch, which meant every Friday they went to someone's house and all the kids played and the parents ate, drank, talked, whatever. They even went as far as putting the kiddos to sleep in sleeping bags and then picking them up when it was time to go home. We will definitely be up for this! Around the World Nights could evolve into this. We don't have kids now, but will later!! Kody & his siblings love to tell Friday Night Bunch stories over and over and it's fun to listen to.

Since I didn't have much to say I will leave you with this... My sister-in-law, Kaci, had my name for Christmas. I've been wanting a Houdini wine bottle opener for awhile because I heard they are awesome....WELL, yes they are! With my old, cheap corkscrew I always got the cork stuck or part of the cork broke off in it. Not in this bad boy!! Came out clean as a whistle!I want to open all my bottles just to play with it! I will have to try out the one my Mom got me next. It's electric and you are supposed to be able to put it over the cork and it will break the wrapping and pull the cork out! Woo hoo for easy drinkin'! ;)...I'm not a complete wine-o, just a glass every once and awhile. I'm trying to like red wine better since it's good for you.

Valentine's Day, STL, Car, etc!

What a great long weekend we had! My week at work was pretty stressful finalizing everything for our meeting that I was soooo happy when 5 p.m. hit on Friday afternoon! As I posted earlier, we spent the evening at my Mom & Dad's house watching the Olympics, hanging with Alex, and eating a good steak dinner. I'm definitely a red meat kind of girl! It was a great fun night, that even included cupcakes from Mom! I don't have any pictures, but she made really cute ones with pink icing and chocolate sprinkles!

Saturday I cleaned house most of the morning. Our wood furnace keeps our house dusty, I try to stay on top of that and make sure it's dusty weekly or more. We seriously have not had a day since the beginning of January that we have not had at least a little snow on the ground....and/or mud. My floors were desperate for some Bona time! I vacuumed really well and cleaned the fire out of them. They looked great, although it didn't last very long. I ventured into town and picked up Kody's V-day gifts. We went small this year since we bought a car the next day! He did however want the old Eric Church CD--Sinners Like Me and I threw in the Zach Brown Band, just because they are fun. He surprised me with both Lady Antebellum CD's, so we were both happy campers. It was fun to buy my first card that said To My Husband....

Saturday night we met up with Ashley & Josh and went to El Imperial for dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day. Probably won't be going back there anytime soon! Although the food was good, it was not El Charro's or anything! They brought one TINY bowl of chips and one small bowl of salsa....for 4 people. We then ordered cheese dip and guacamole for appetizers and we had to ask for more chips. She brought 2, and 2 things of salsa. They charged us for the chips & salsa! I don't mind that we paid an extra $1 for each thing of chips and .50 for the salsas each, but WHO charges for chips & salsa at a Mexican restaurant...to top it off they didn't have alcohol and I NEEDED a margarita. The Hambys came back to our house and the boys played Wii and the girls talked. That was basically it for Saturday night! Ashley made us red velvet cupcakes so we enjoyed those for dessert! :)

Sunday we woke up bright and early. I was sad to miss the V-day service at church, but we really needed to get to St. Louis before bad weather hit. We got there just in time too. We went by my parents house and Mom had made pancakes for us before our trip. I had been craving pancakes and they were good! Alex got ready and we were gone before 9. We got to St. Louis around noon and met up with Kody's family at his sister's house. Alex left to go study! Teresa had brought John up to the airport...lucky duck is in Florida this week golfing with some bankers, and Grandma rode up with her. We all took John to the airport and then rode around looking at the houses Kaci & Luke are considering. I hope for their sake they find something SOON!!! The one they have an offer on is sooo cute and in the most charming neighborhood! :)

We were supposed to go to dinner with Grandma & Teresa, but the roads were getting really slick by 4. I think they left around 4:15 and got home just before 8...it's only a 2 hour drive. They had to stop for a wreck and drive slow. Luke is an RN at Barnes and worked til 8. We decided to wait on him for dinner. The stupid snow messed up my plans with Jess too, she was going to come along! We ended up going somewhere really close, Growler's. It was like a pub/grill. VERY good. We ordered homemade chips and the guys ordered scotch eggs...sounds & looks gross, but here's a picture... It was sausage breaded and wrapped over half of a hard boiled egg...I tried it but wouldn't have eaten more! This place had over 125 beers! The guys loved it! I loved the margarita I finally got to have! :) Luke, Kaci, and Kody had fish tacos and I had a burger. Their tacos were really good! So were our homemade chips... When we got home we were pretty tired, so we hit the hay...big day on Monday---the new car and the drive home! Monday morning we went to Kaci & Luke's new favorite place, the Diner. That's all it's called, but it did not disappoint! Luke had been talking about it ALL weekend and I told him I had high expectations for this place. It was in a strip mall and very small, but very diner like inside! We headed to Manchester Road after the wonderful breakfast, made a quick stop at DSW where I got some new Nine West black flats, and then picked up our new baby, the YUKON!!! WOOO HOO. I honestly forgot a picture of me with it, and will re-enact that later this week. It's so pretty, we are in love. Such a nice, nice car! I put up pictures of the outside last week, but I'll do a couple more. We're so proud of it!I love the headlights!!I had to have heated seats! Sorry if I went overboard on the pictures, I'm just in love with it right now! We plan right now to have this vehicle for at least 5 years, if not 7. It should get us through 2 babies we hope. :) Then I can get a van...HAHA, I'm kidding, Kody is so anti-van. I like them though! ;)

I created a menu for the next 2 weeks and a grocery list. I will post some of my recipes. I found several from http://www.allrecipes.com/ --a great recipe website. Since we bought the Yukon, we want to try to conserve in other areas. Often we are lazy and instead of making dinner, which I don't mind doing, we go out. We both love to eat out, but realize that it's not very good for us and we can save money eating in. I'm proud of myself for finding new recipes and trying different things. I told Kody this is my effort in being a better wife. Call me old fashion, but I feel like I am supposed to make dinner. He can clean it up and does whatever else I ask him to do. I enjoy making dinner too. We all can strive to become better wives, sisters, friends, daughters, etc. Kody's effort is joining bank accounts! Finally his debit card & pin number are here, time to switch over!

This afternoon I attended a Public Hearing on a railroad closing and then we had a City Council meeting tonight. It's been a long day. I even went to Wal-Mart, bought what was needed for the next 2 weeks ingredient wise, and only spend $80! 16 & Pregnant started tonight....gotta get seroius here! Sorry this was a novel post! Had to catch up though!
